The Barren The general Lowlands area was given the name 'The Barren' by generations of loners that just happened to walk into the trench-like landscape that split the Nevrak and Dakanna packlands. The ground is vegetation-less and the dry air screams 'wasteland'. This area has be described in the past as 'wolf's hell'. The reasoning behind this is either because of the lack of prey, the intense weather in this area, the lack of shelter, or that one must choose to either die in this barren land, or join one of the two rivaling packs. Blackline Ridge It seems like ages ago that this crack in the earth was created. Those that were able watched in awe as the ground split and rose to develop this small ledge or canyon-like formation. It stretches across most of the Lowland area and has been named by loners as the 'Blackline Ridge'. The 'Blackline' half of the name refers to the darkness that can be seen for miles deep within this fault line. Be careful, there are places where one could fall into the wider crevices of the line. The only thing you may hit if you reach the bottom is rock and groundwater, so don't start thinking about lava being down there, because there isn't any. It's difficult to get out, but it's easy to get your limbs stuck in painful places such as under rocks. You'd better hope there's someone else around help you out. This is a very dangerous place for those with a careless step. In rainy times, this small canyon fills with water, making tripping and drowning a possibility. Moderator: Befera |

Fool's Poison Besides Blackline in rainy seasons, this dark-looking pond near the Dakanna territory is the only water source for loners year-round. This pond is home to disease-carrying mosquitos during warmer months, and freezes over quickly in the winter because of it's shallowness. It tends to overflow whenever it rains, which gives the water it's dirt-brown color. Loners have been found dead here on several occasions by both members of the Nevrak and Dakanna packs. A rumor has been going around that any wolf that drinks from the waters of this pond will be poisoned and will just die on the spot, but no one knows for sure except for loners that dare to actually drink here. The name 'Fool's Poison' was chosen by various wolves, and has stuck over the years. Moderator: Befera |
