Time - Actual forum rping begins in 2060. Place - Area of present-day northwestern Canada. [about 10x10 sq. miles of established pack territory and lowlands. A little larger than the Gaza Strip.] Timeline- [note: the timeline moves quickly at first but after the pack settles, the timeline moves slower to explain detail] -About 2030. Human war breaks out. -2034 or so. Wolves wander up through present-day Canada to escape what they feel is a dangerous environment for pack life. -2034-2042. Most wolves have seen humans before, but as they start going more north, they loose the scent of any humans and over the years traveling up through central Canada, they tend to forget about them. Many die because of lack of prey in southern Canada, but wolves prosper in more northern areas where elk and caribou herds are finally seen. They tend to travel around and stop in places they think might be suitable territories for their pack, but moved on for various reasons several times over the years. -2043 or so. Large pack of about 40 wolves [some packs of about 15 merged together during journey north for hunting and traveling benefit] settle in an almost pure area of Canada slightly southwest of the Alaskan border in a mountainous area. The wolves still hadn't seen any signs of humans besides a few un-populated villages on the way to their territory, so they decided to leave humans behind in the past. -Autumn 2043. Dens are established not long after the large pack established their territory and pups are being born. Strange and unusually vivid eye colors are observed in the pups that stay with them for their entire lives. The rest of the pack is a little shocked, but see no other problems and learn to accept it. -2043-2050. Large pack stays intact and lives in peace. They establish themselves as the 'Nevrak' wolves, a name that was chosen by the four-yer-old alpha brute of the pack, who became alpha in 2050 and was born on the way to the pack's current territory. Eye colors observed in past years become less intense in color with each generation. Resources are plentiful and there is no sign of human life. -Summer 2051. The pack's trust in each other is tested when the current alpha female returns from a short hunt one afternoon to find her four two-month-old heirs' bodies mutilated and unrecognizable in her den. The alpha brute begins accusing others in the pack of this, because there are bite marks and scratches that could only be inflicted by a wolf. -Autumn 2051. After three month's thought and analyzation, alpha brute exiles suspects of the murder of his first heirs. One was a female pup-sitter that was responsible for taking care of the pups while the alpha female was hunting. He disabled her hind left leg before he banished her from the pack's territory. The others he exiled just happened to be in the area of the alpha female's den at any time that day. They were banished wether they did anything or not. He did nothing to their bodies before banishing them besides a few scratches and bites to send them out of the pack with a warning that if they return, they had a death wish. -Winter 2051. The exiled try their best to survive the cold months. The pup-sitter died in mid-winter from an infection that appeared in her disabled leg in late autumn. The others, about 7 or 8 of them, managed to survive that first winter alone. The Alpha noticed that this winter was unusually different. He began to regret exiling some of his best hunters, but got over himself and helped get the slightly smaller pack through the winter. -Spring 2052. The exiled pack establish their territory on the other side of a lowland area from their old pack and dub themselves the 'Dakanna'. They set ranks that are similar to the Nevrak pack, but change it in a way so there would be more than one alpha pair in power at a time. They developed great hatred for the Nevrak alpha brute that banished them, and began to jokingly plan a way to kill him, his mate, and any pups they may have had. No one admitted to being the original killer of the alpha female's four pups. That entire year was fairly quiet, but the alpha brute had a horrible feeling that something would soon occur that he wouldn't like. -Autumn 2052-Spring 2053. The Dakanna's population began to grow with the arrival of loners from other areas of Canada and Alaska. The Dakanna received information on the Nevrak from these loners, thought they would be useful spies, and took them in as pack members. Pups were also being born and the pack grew from 7 or 8 wolves to about 20 from that summer to the next spring. Why were so many loners turning up out of the northeast? The current Dakanna alphas agreed not to ask too many questions. -Summer 2053. One afternoon, some of the Dakanna that were former loners snuck through the Nevrak borders through a thick forest in the Nevrak territory that was located close to the Lowlands, which were established by both packs as a sort of 'no wolf's land'. Loners usually roamed about here, looking for a pack to join up in, so these unfamiliar wolves to the Nevrak would be seen as only loners, not enemies. The Dakanna were successful in joining the Nevrak after explaining that they 'had been wandering for months' and 'just needed a place to stay for a while'. They faked that they were kin and were able to join the Nevrak together. The Dakanna alphas smirked to themselves back in their territory as they watched their spies fool the brute that first banished them. The Nevrak had forgotten about the exiled by now, and assumed they had died off in the past winter. -Autumn 2053. Nevrak pack gets used to it's new members and so does it's alpha. The Dakanna spies go out on 'hunts' every once in a while, and secretly report to the Dakanna alphas of the Nevrak's activities. Life seems to be pretty good as the Dakanna pack plans it's first strike on the Nevrak. -Winter 2053. The alphas now have 2 heirs, both born the past summer, but they are old enough now that killing them would be like murdering a pack member rather than a pup. It would be more difficult to kill them, as well, because of their age. The Dakanna alphas and most of the rest of their pack are pleased with the work of their spies and that the Nevrak still haven't noticed that they have established their own pack. The Dakanna are now at a comfortable 28 members, compared to the Nevrak's 36, and were ready to attack with their skilled warriors, which made up almost half of their pack. These warriors were mostly wolves from other areas of Canada. They served as hunters as well as an army against the Nevrak. Dakanna was gradually becoming more and more angry at their past with the Nevrak and had blown up the fact that they were wrongly banished to the point of wanting to slaughter every last Nevrak pack member. -2054-2055. The Dakanna launched their first attack attempt in late spring of 2054. They managed to injure a few wolves that were near the border of the Nevrak territory and the Lowlands, but didn't do much damage. One of the alpha's went along, and gave a big speech before retreating back to his territory that the Dakanna would 'take them down' and they 'should watch their backs' and things of that sort. They made similar little attacks like that over the course of the next year or so, just to agitate the alpha that banished them just because he was scared. The Dakanna spies accidentally revealed themselves as spies and retreated back to the Dakanna territory with the rest of their pack. The Nevrak alpha brute was infuriated and annoyed at this, and decided to set up his own strategy for an attack to silence these rebels once and for all. -Summer 2056. A warm and comfortable summer afternoon. The Dakanna were ready to attack once again with a portion of their warriors, when an earthquake occurred without warning. Wolves were shaken to their feet and those that could watched as the ground of the Lowlands area cracked until a crevice could be seen in the ground. Trees in the forests fell at an alarming rate, falling atop of wolves in both packs, killing many. Chaos reigned for only a few minutes, wreaking destruction on everything in sight. The land and it's inhabitants would be changed forever. -Autumn 2056-Spring 2058. The area sat in complete horror for a time, but managed to pull itself together. The Nevrak alpha brute and his mate were killed in the quake. One of their heirs died as well. One, though, still lives, and has taken control of the pack as alpha female. Kevada was the youngest heir of the two. She was 4 when she became alpha female of the Nevrak. The packs began to regroup and started to hunt again when prey returned to the land some months after the quake. Hunting was difficult for a while and prey was scarce, but things eventually got back to 'normal'. -Summer 2058-Winter 2059. Those that were left from the quake began warring again. Little one-on-one fights, mostly, but there were some small battles as well. Some forgot why they were fighting, and just hated the other pack for being alive. Others remembered, such as one of the original alphas of the Dakanna pack, Noi, who named the pack himself. He was the only alpha that survived the quake, and during this time, he looked for other survivors. -2060. Wolves begin to populate the land again after the quake. Some survivors still lurk in the forests of fallen trees, waiting for someone to find them. Loners from other areas wander in with hope of a new life. Some wolves of Nevrak and of Dakanna are waiting in the shadows of the past to welcome them to the war.

Humans have said that their world will end in fire. We wolves say that our world will begin in smoke. It means, simply put, that when humans have fought and killed for the last time, the wolves will rise from the ashes to rule over this ruined earth. *** The year was 2030 A.D. The humans are stirring again, preparing for war. No one is pleased with how the world leaders are behaving, and the Middle Eastern countries grow tired of sitting back and being told what to do. A nuclear was is threatening to break out and the people of Earth are readying themselves to fight. It took almost four years for the wa to start, and when it did, people and animals began dying. The creatures smart enough to know to leave the war-ridden United States began to do so. The packs of wolves living across the USA fled north, heading in huge numbers towards Canada.
The years passed, wolves who stayed in Southern Canada, near the war-controlled, disease-ridden United States, dying because of lack of prey and poisoned earth. The packs traveled steadily north from 2034 to 2042 tried settling in in different places, but were forced away for varying reasons, from lack of good water to rival packs. It took many many years for the packs to find a nearlyh pure land, far from the destruction happening further south in the US.
This one pack had about forty wolves; some of the smaller wolven packs had joined together to save one another. This was the pack that found the purest place to settle, just southwest of Alaska. Other packs who had traveled with them continued on their ways; it would not be wise to have a large number of wolves in one area. This pack settled down in the late spring and early summer of 2043. By autumn of that year, dens had been set up and pups were being born. The pups are healthy and strong; very few are lost to disease. The only troubling thing is that many of them are born with strange and unusal looking eyes.
This large pack manged to stay together, thanks to the help of a young alpha who had been born on the journey and who had coined the name Nevrak for the pack. The strange eye colours have been fading as the generations pass. There is peace in the pack now.
Trouble, however, has a bad thing about rearing his ugly head. The alpha female at the time came back from hunting one day in 2051 to find her newborn whelps slaughtered, their wounds clearly inflected by wolven fangs. The alpha male accused the members of the pack of doing this, causing a rift to form.Three months pass before the alpha actually exiles several wolves who he and the female believe slaughtered the heirs. One was the pup-sitter, and she was the only one badly injured before being sent on her way. The others had merely been near the den at the time of the murders and were exiled because of this.
Winter was hard that year, for both the actual pack and the loners who had been exiled. The pup-sitter died due to injuries. The alpha of the Nevrak pack regretted sending the wolves, some of whom had been extremely good hunters, out of the pack.
Bef- WHAT I EDITED: "The current alpha female..." to "The alpha female at the time...". O,,o
